Help

gallery/main

Hopefully, navigating the main sections of Archer's Toolkit should be self-explanatory for any Android user. This help page will aim to explain some of the less obvious features of the app to help you get the most out of it.

Filters

gallery/filters3

When you see any of the filter boxes above, changing the selected options will filter items in or out of the list currently being displayed. During the indoor season for example, you may not want to see all of the outdoor rounds listed, so simply deselect the 'Outdoor' button.

Sorting

gallery/sorting

When you see a list-sort menu icon, clicking it will give you a choice of how the current list of items is sorted. This can make it easier to choose a round to shoot for example.

Sight mark estimation

gallery/sight_est

Once you add three or more sight marks (using the same notch value), Archer's Toolkit will estimate the others for you. Estimated sight marks appear in grey, ones you have entered are in black.

The more real sight marks you enter, the more accurate the estimates will be. Take care not to rely on estimates if your real marks are close together; distances far away from the real ones may be inaccurate in this case.

Importing Rounds

gallery/export_menu

Chances are you have already shot a bunch of rounds. There's no need to lose all that data when you start using Archer's Toolkit.

Archer's Toolkit can import shot rounds from a spreadsheet saved as comma-separated-values (a .csv file). CSV files can be saved from most spreadsheet applications or can be created with any text editor.

gallery/import_list

You can import a .csv file from any data source that your Android device has registered. You can choose to replace all the shot rounds or merge new ones into existing ones.

Archer's Toolkit will attempt to recognise headers in the spreadsheet to interpret the data appropriately. To be certain of a good match, you can use this template file or export a .csv from Archer's Toolkit first and then modify it.

Choosing a round

gallery/chooseround

In addition to filtering and sorting rounds, the final column when selecting a round to shoot shows you the best classification that can be achieved for each round. This can be particularly useful if you are trying to get a better classification.
